Should I include hills in my running plan?

We do recommend you include hills in your running plan. Hills increase leg strength and will increase your stamina on flat ground. You’ll burn more calories running uphill than running on flat ground during the same time period, and you’ll gain plenty of PAI points. But before you start, here’s a few things to keep in mind: first, start by running up gentle slopes, not steep mountain-faces. Secondly, don’t run hills every training session; if you include hills, you’ll have hill training only every third workout. If you’re new to running entirely, you might only have one or two small hills to do each session, which doesn’t sound too bad, does it?
